4* Amazones Village suites
Overview
Amazones Village suites
Piskopiano Village, Heraklion Area, Greece
Star Rating: ****
Perched on a hillside overlooking lively Hersonissos, this place has the look and feel of a traditional Greek village.
The Amazones Village Suites are tucked away in peaceful Piskopiano. They're laid out like a little network of houses, and wouldn't look out of place on a postcard. Slender stepped pathways weave in between sugar cube-style buildings, while the views stretch down across red-tipped rooftops to the sea.
This place puts you a five-minute drive from the seaside town of Hersonissos, with its good-looking beach and bundle of shops, bars and restaurants. For daytrip fans, there's Heraklion – the capital – a half-an-hour car journey away, or you can reach history-packed Chania in two hours.
