Rajasthan is one of India’s most colourful and vibrant states. This journey combines true Indian village life with a camel safari across the sand dunes in the Thar Desert, tiger spotting in Ranthambore National Park and a visit to some of the most opulent palaces and majestic fortresses that India has to offer.

Full Itinerary
Day 1 & 2: Fly to Delhi
Fly overnight to Delhi, India's capital city. On arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to Manesar for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Alsisar Heritage Town
Today, you will travel through the countryside to the small heritage town of Alsisar, which is known for its beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions.
Day 4: Bikaner
You will head to the desert town of Bikaner, visiting the Museum and cultural centre. Enjoy lunch inside the Junagarh Fort before before continuing to Gajner.
Day 5: Jaisalmer
You continue to Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City, and in the evening visit the local markets and Sunset Point.
Day 6: Jaisalmer Fort
Sightseeing includes a visit to Jaisalmer Fort, on top of the 80m high Trikuta Hill. Journey to the Sam Sand Dunes and enjoy a camel ride to view the sunset.
Day 7: Thar Desert Safari
You drive through the Thar Desert to Manvar where you experience a camel and jeep safari to local Bishnoi villages to meet the locals. Tonight you will have a memorable stay in a tented camp (mid-October to mid-April) or Manvar Resort.
Day 8: Jodhpur
Travel to Jodhpur, known as the Blue City, the second largest city in Rajasthan.
Day 9: Mehrangarh
Visit Mehrangarh Fort and the museum located in the Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Day 10: Udaipur & Lake Pichola
Travel to Udaipur, a city of lakes, palaces and temples. You will stop at Ranakpur to visit the largest Jain Temple complex in India, built in the 15th Century. Then you will continue to Udaipur and cruise on Lake Pichola.
Day 11: Udaipur
You will begin with a drive around Fateh Sagar Lake and then visit the Folk Museum, Mewar Art Gallery and Sahelion Ki Bari Garden. You can also visit City Palace and wander through the local shops.
Day 12: Rajasthan Countryside
Continue to Deogarh stopping en route at the Eklinji and Nathdwara Towers. In the evening, walk through the colourful and bustling streets of the village and take in the sights and sounds of rural Rajasthan.
Day 13: Pushkar
Take a short ride on a rural 1930's train to Phulad; and then continue by road to Pushkar where you'll take a walking tour of the market and visit Brahma Temple. Pushkar is known for its Camel Fair held every year.
Day 14: Drive to Jaipur
You travel to Jaipur and visit the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar Observatory.
Day 15: Hawa Mahal & Amber Fort
Begin with a short stop at Hawa Mahal, the Palace of the Winds, before continuing to Amber Fort. After trying your hand at some block painting and carpet weaving, take some time at the local bazaar in Choti Choper and watch a traditional dinner and dance performance.
Day 16 & 17: Ranthambore or Bharatpur
Depending on the season, the next three days operate different itineraries as follows:
Jan to May: Travel by train to Ranthambore National Park and enjoy a canter safari in the park this afternoon. The next day, take morning and afternoon canter safaris through the park.
Sept to Dec: Drive to Bharatpur. Tomorrow visit Keoladeo National Park for a morning rickshaw safari. Later we will visit a nearby village. The following day, drive to Agra via the fortified ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 18: Agra
Jan to May: Drive to Agra via the fortified ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar.
Sept to Dec: A day at leisure including a short drive to Agra and time to explore the city.
Day 19: Taj Mahal
Rise early to view the impressive Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunrise. You will also stop at a traditional Marble Workshop and visit Agra Fort.
Day 20: Delhi
You will travel to Delhi and visit Qutab Minar, Lotus temple and Connaught Place Markets.
Day 21: Red Fort & India Gate
Sightseeing today begins with a visit to the Red Fort and a walk through Chandni Chowk bazaar to Jama Masjid, which is India's largest mosque. You will also have a brief photo stop at India Gate and Parliament House.
Day 22: Fly to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home later the same or following day.
