Full Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Colombo

Enjoy a stress-free start as you are picked up by the door-to-door service, and takes to the airport for your overnight flight to Colombo.

Day 2 - Colombo

This morning you arrive in Colombo for an overnight stay. Take time to relax and unwind, or explore your hotel before the tour begins.

Day 3 - Colombo to Habarana

Today you'll enjoy a tour of Colombo, before travelling on to Habarana. In Habarana you'll stay at the Cinnamon Lodge, where you'll visit the organic farm and enjoy a cookery demonstration of traditional dishes.

Day 4 - Habanara - Sigirya - Polonnaruwa

With a day of leisure, you can choose to explore at your own pace or take advantage of one of the optional excursions. You could pay a visit to the fascinating Sigirya Rock Fortress to see the famous 'Lion Rock', where you'll find two colossal paws of a limestone lion figure which once guarded the entrance to the lofty palace gardens around 1,500 years ago.

Or Visit the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, including the ruins of the king's council chamber, the royal Citadel and the Vatadage Relic House, all dating back between the 11th and 12th centuries.

Day 5 - Habarana - Dambulla - Matale - Kandy

Today you'll travel on to Kandy, where you'll pay a visit to the Dambulla Cave temple and Matale spice garden.

Continuing on to the Cinnamon Citadel, where you'll stay for two nights. Enjoy an evening cultural dance performance.

Day 6 - Kandy - Pinnawela

Next stop is a visit to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where you'll be serviced a delicious lunch overlooking the river. Watch the elephants bathing before returning to Kandy for a tour of the famous sights of this historic city.

Day 7 - Peradeniya - Nuwara Eliya

Today you'll visit a beautiful botanical garden and Eliya tea estate before staying overnight at the Grand Hotel.

Day 8 - Nuwara Eliya-Yala

Journeying on, you'll come to Cinnamon Wild Yala, where you'll be staying for the next 3 nights. Take the time to relax and enjoy the facilities of your hotel.

Day 9 - Yala-Kataragama-Yala

Enjoy a game drive in Yala National Park today, before travelling to Katargama to visit the Shrine of Lord Skanda and the Buddist Temple of Kiri Vehera.

Day 10 - Yala

This morning you'll be treated to a champagne breakfast ay the hotel, and if your visit is in term time, you'll visit a local school supported by the Saga Charitable Trust.

The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, where you can relax and unwind as you watch the wildlife from the hotel observation decks.

Day 11 - Yala-Bundala-Galle-Beruwala

Travelling to Bundala, you'll visit the bird sanctuary, where you'll see the aquatic birdlife. Next on the agenda is a tour of the ancient city of Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continuing on you'll arrive at Cinnamon Bey, where you'll enjoy a three nights All inclusive stay. Set on Sri Lanka's west coast, which are famous for their golden sands.

Day 12 & 13 - Beruwala

Today you can enjoy another day of leisure where you can relax on a wonderful beach, or perhaps take advantage of an optional tour.

You could take the river safari, which travels past six islands and includes a visit to a cinnamon plantation.

Day 14 - UK

Unfortunately your tour has come to an end, you'll travel to Colombo Airport and begin your journey back to the UK. At the other end you'll endure a stress-free journey right to your doorstep with the door-to-door travel service.
