Texas and the Big Easy

Discover the easy-going charm of the south as you travel through Texas and on to the jazz-infused streets of New Orleans. We’ll journey deep into cowboy country as we tour the eastern half of Texas, ticking off some of the Lone Star state’s biggest names along the way. We’ll step inside Ewing Mansion in Dallas, explore Austin’s Capitol Building, tour the Spanish missions of San Antonio and get a glimpse into life at NASA in Houston. From here, we’ll cross into Louisiana for cocktails and Creole cooking in the ‘Big Easy’.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: London - Dallas - Fort Worth

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home, for your journey to London and a flight to Dallas. Transfer to Fort Worth and the Courtyard Fort Worth Downtown-Blackstone Hotel.

Day 2: Dallas

Begin with a city tour of Dallas, followed by a visit to Dealey Plaza and The Sixth Floor Museum. We also take a trip to Southfork Ranch, the backdrop for the 1980s TV show ‘Dallas’.

Day 3: Fort Worth

We explore Fort Worth, taking in the downtown area and the Cultural District. The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame is our next stop, before the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.

Day 4: Fort Worth - Austin

We head to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. Evening boat cruise to the Congress Avenue Bridge - at sunset, the biggest urban colony of bats in North America can emerge from under the bridge. We stay at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.

Day 5: Austin

Today, we’ll show you Austin’s highlights on a guided tour, including the State Capitol and Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum. You’ll have the evening free to experience a little of Austin’s nightlife.

Day 6: Austin - Fredericksburg - San Antonio

Visit Texas Hill Country and the quirky city of Fredericksburg. Thanks to the in! uence of early settlers from Germany, Fredericksburg has a German flavour that’s evident in the architecture, food and festivals. Continue to San Antonio, for a visit to the Alamo, where Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and Colonel Travis fought to the death in the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. We stay at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk.

Day 7: San Antonio

Explore the sights of San Antonio, including Missions National Historical Park. These frontier missions were established in the 1700s by Franciscan missionaries. You’ll have the afternoon free.

Day 8: San Antonio - Houston

In Houston, we call in at the Space Center Houston, to glean an insight into NASA’s past, present and future. We stay at the Sheraton Suites Galleria.

Day 9: Houston - Lafayette

Cross the border into Louisiana, and Lafayette, at the heart of Cajun and Creole Country. Visit the Acadian Cultural Center. Our hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Lafayette.

Day 10: Lafayette - New Orleans

We head for New Orleans, a sultry city that offers an intoxicating mix of jazz, cocktails, festivals, Creole cuisine and French-colonial architecture. After a guided tour, our hotel for the next two nights is the Sheraton New Orleans.

Day 11: New Orleans

You’ve got the whole day free. Fuel up on coffee and sugar-dusted beignet doughnuts, then head off to see the balconied buildings of the French Quarter or Uptown’s grand mansions and restored streetcars. When it comes to dinner, be sure to sample a local favourite or two.

Day 12: New Orleans - In flight

Late transfer to New Orleans Airport for a flight to London.

Day 13: London

Arrival in London where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
