The ship is purpose built as an expedition vessel with a higher ice-class, chart drawing tools, ship depth sounding database, extractable forward sounding sonar, iceberg search lights, autonomous tracking system, oversized oil retention system for self-sufficiency, and a full ‘expedition tools-deck’ equivalent to a car-deck that holds 25 vehicles. We believe that as an explorer you need an ‘expedition base-camp’ that is comfortable – something that combines ‘all oceans capabilities’ with safety, flexibility and environmental friendliness. That’s Fram – simply the best expedition ship imaginable.

Day 1 - London to Longyearbyen
Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to London and a flight to Longyearbyen via Oslo. Transfer to the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel (4T).
Day 2 - Longyearbyen
The mighty Arctic wilderness dominates life, but Longyearbyen maintains a lively cultural life in spite of its remote position. Enjoy a tour of this colourful frontier outpost before embarking MS Fram (4T).
Days 3-5 - North West Spitsbergen National Park
The northwest corner of Spitsbergen National Park is scattered with islands, fjords and beaches; an excellent area for exploring Svalbard’s history and home to rare wildlife. The ocean and the frozen landscapes here, change constantly. The captain monitors conditions closely, before deciding where to land or sail and possible landing sites are as follows: Kongsfjorden - Considered one of the most beautiful fjord areas in Spitsbergen, with mighty glaciers calving icebergs, framed by stunning mountains. The former mining settlement of Ny-Ålesund is now an international centre for polar research. Svalbard reindeer unique to these islands, inhabit the area along with polar bears, which occasionally visit the town.
Magdalenafjorden and Gravneset - The remains of blubber ovens have been found at Gravneset, as well as the stone gatherings marking the many graves of Dutch whalers. Look out for the Arctic terns and walruses that inhabit the beautiful bay. You may have the chance to swim and earn an Arctic swimming certificate, plus exciting hiking and scenic kayaking opportunities.
Liefdefjord - See the enormous Monaco Glacier here and small islets where eider ducks nest during the summer. This is an ideal place for spotting polar bears.
Days 6-8 Eastern Svalbard Nature Reserves and South Spitsbergen National Park
Eastern Svalbard boasts the highest population of polar bears on the archipelago. Possible landing sites here are as follows:
Isflakbukta - When the ice breaks up in spring, thousands of seabirds mate on the hard granite mountains, drawing the occasional polar bear or arctic fox, while walrus dive for clams in the bays.
Sorgfjorden - Weather depending, hike in beautiful Eolsneset or enjoy tender boat cruising in the Hinlopen Strait.
Torellneset - An excellent place to spot walruses.
Edgeøya - Located the Søraust-Svalbard Nature Reserve, birdlife is abundant and Arctic walrus populations are recovering from centuries of hunting. It supports reindeer and arctic foxes and, at Kapp Lee you will find cultural heritage from all eras of human exploration of Svalbard.
Hornsund - The beautiful Hornsund cuts through a wonderfully varied landscape. Ice being pushed into the fjord early in the season attracts polar bears that hunt on the foes.
Day 9 - Isafjord
Explore Isfjord, the most prominent fjord system on Svalbard and most human activities are here, including mining, however protected areas include several bird sanctuaries. In the inner parts of Isfjorden, the landscape changes constantly. The immense U-shaped valleys are home to large populations of Svalbard reindeer.
Day 10 - Longyearbyen to London
Disembark and transfer to the airport for a flight to London via Oslo. On arrival, you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
