Ship Overview

Braemar

It's all about you on board the Braemar. And with 150 years’ of sailing heritage behind us, the service and cruise ship will delight you.

Braemar will capture your senses - with large windows, polished wood, shining brass fittings and decadent fabrics. A five-deck high atrium area and cascading decks at the stern give Braemar space and intimacy in perfect balance.

Have a tasty lunch at the Palms Café and a delicious dinner at our grand Thistle and Grampian restaurants. Refresh at the Marquee poolside bar, or have a cosy drink in the Morning Light Pub. Spin to the music at the Neptune Lounge, and take afternoon tea at the Coral Club. Leave the world behind in the serene Atlantis Spa, and surround yourself with horizon, as you walk the promenade.

The Olsen family business can be traced back to 1848. Here a young ship-master called Fredrik Christian Olsen (known as First Fred. Olsen) entered ship-owning on his own account. His earliest vessels were wooden schooners of little more than 50 gross tones.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Southampton, United Kingdom

Embark on the Braemar on this 5 night cruise.

Day 2: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Innovative and inspiring nicely sums up Rotterdam, the major port city in the Dutch province of South Holland. The Netherlands' second largest city has a diverse community, a captivating maritime history, and an abundance of excellent museums.

Day 3: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Golden Age canals lined with elegant merchant homes is the familiar backdrop for the Netherlands's historic capital, Amsterdam. Established in the 17th century with the construction of the River Amstel dam, this celebrated port offers everything from treasure-packed museums and antiquarian bookshops to chic boutiques and convivial cafés. Equally, art is never far away in this hub of uber-creative design. One noticeable thing about the city is that, some 150 years after its industrial heyday, Amsterdam is once again awash with producers.

Day 4 & 5: Antwerp, Belgium

Belgium’s charming, medieval city of Antwerp is the country’s biggest port and often recognised as its capital of cool. It has proved an alluring city for centuries, attracting lovers of art, fashion and, of course, diamonds – over 80% of the world's rough diamonds pass through the city's famous diamond district at some point or other. Renowned for its charm and sparkle, Antwerp was one of Europe’s principle cities in the mid-16th century and has maintained the essence of its medieval past, despite severe bombing during World War II.

Day 6: Southampton, United Kingdom

Disembark in Southampton.
