All about Sarah

I’ve always loved to travel, but it wasn’t until going travelling myself that I realised my passion for it. After I completed my degree at university, I went on an exhilarating adventure, visiting Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii and LA. I skydived over the Great Barrier Reef, jet-boated around Sydney harbour, swam with dolphins in Hawaii, parasailed and island-hopped in Fiji, and along the way was spellbound by the most amazing scenery, and met many fantastic people from cultures across the world. It was such a formative experience, and I’m so grateful for those experiences.

It was on my return that I turned my hand to the travel industry as a vocation and am now thrilled to be working for Miles Morgan Travel. The travel industry will always be where I belong – I can’t imagine myself anywhere else! I love sharing my experiences with customers and booking them onto exciting adventures of their own. It gives me a similar thrill to reminiscing on my own travels!

I have fantastic memories of my time working in Canada, in Regina, the capital city of the province of Saskatchewen. It’s a beautiful place: the winter months often reach a low of -40 degrees, which sounds bleak, but the locals make the most of it by snowmobiling and ice-fishing. In the summer months, the snow melts and the temperatures reach up to 35 degrees! It’s such a contrast, and the lakes become a haven for water sports and fishing. The scenery is outstanding, and the cities never lose their vibrancy, no matter what the weather. Canada, in my opinion, should be an absolute must-see on any traveller’s bucket list.

For a different kind of adventure, I loved the week I spent in Las Vegas: it was one of the best places I’ve ever been. We took a flight over the Hoover Dam and the iconic Grand Canyon, as well as a night flight over the Las Vegas strip, all of which offered the most spectacular views. Back on land, I treated myself to a Cirque du Soleil show, which was truly amazing, and visited many MGM casinos. It was out of this world, and I’d love to go back.

St. Lucia was a perfect honeymoon destination for my husband and I, and I’d recommend it to anyone in search of the ultimate tropical escapism. We stayed at Sandals Halcyon Beach, an incredible hotel with high-quality all-inclusive facilities, and two sister hotels that we were able to visit and dine in. The beaches were absolutely stunning, and the landscape was dramatic: we took a day trip into the Piton Volcanoes, where we swam in volcanic waters and enjoyed mud-baths and stopped at a beautiful waterfall before returning to the hotel. It was a holiday I’ll never forget, and I feel overwhelmed with nostalgia every time I book customers to St. Lucia! It’s a magical place.

Since then, I’ve had two beautiful children and family holidays have been the central aim of travel. An action-packed adventure to Disneyland Paris, a fun-filled week in First Choice’s Holiday Village in Ibiza, and a special Royal Caribbean cruise have been some of our travel highlights together. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to offer my children this outlook on the world, and one of my greatest joys is seeing how booking holidays brings families together.

No matter if you’re travelling solo, looking for a romantic couple's getaway or a family trip to remember, please pop into our Chepstow branch. I’d love to help you book the holiday of your dreams.
