All about Alison

Having been in travel now for over 40 years, I couldn’t imagine turning my hand to any other profession. Working for Miles Morgan Travel gives me the freedom to tailor holiday itineraries to customers’ individual needs, as well as having access to the widest range of holidays in the industry.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to explore an abundance of destinations across the world. A highlight for me will always be Australia: I’ve visited Sydney and Cairns, and I also participated in a five-day Padi Diving Course on the Great Barrier Reef, which was a magnificent, surreal experience! Equally, I’ll never forget travelling on the Kuranda Rail and Skyrail: the journey overlooks the village of Kuranda, with its colourful markets, shops and galleries, and pinnacles at the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, gliding spectacularly over the World Heritage rainforests of Queensland. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

After the wonderful the opportunity to partake in an educational trip to the Maldives, I couldn’t resist a revisit for my honeymoon! There’s nowhere better for that luxury beach getaway, with sprawling, soft white sands and the bluest water stretching to the horizon. Two weeks would never be enough – I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Closer to home, my favourite destination to date is Croatia. I stayed along the scenic Dubrovnik Riviera, taking in the clear crystal waters of the Istrian. It’s a stone’s throw from the Old Walled City and is graced by a stunning mountain backdrop. An idyllic destination for those wanting to be a little off the beaten track.
