All about Abigail

I've been in the travel industry for almost sixteen years now: in 2007 I began as an apprentice and I've been with Miles Morgan Travel for just over eight years. Originally I worked in the Taunton branch before transferring to Clevedon, and I can testify that the exceptional service is company-wide! I love listening to customers’ travel dreams and am so grateful to be able to contribute to those once-in-a-lifetime trips: every customer brings us a new adventure, which we are so privileged to be involved with and are able to use our expertise to make personal recommendations.

I'm lucky to have experienced many fantastic destinations on my own travels. A particular favourite will always be Cape Town, South Africa. I stayed for a month, and truly immersed myself in the culture, as well as visiting its iconic landmarks, including the stunning Table Mountain, and the vineyards of Stellenbosch. The landscapes are just unbelievably beautiful – I’d love to go back, and I’ll treasure those memories forever.

Other highlights of mine include an unforgettable Kenyan safari – shortly after COVID times! As soon as I got onto the plane, I realised how much I’d missed travelling. We visited three very different landscapes: the lush green hills of the Aberdares, the dusty sweeping plains of Ol Pejeta Nature Reserve and the iconic vastness of the Masai Mara. Out there, nature is truly at its most beautiful, and I happily spent hours watching and learning about lions, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, all in their natural habitat. Most humbling was seeing two of the last remaining white rhinos in Northern Kenya – I spent the entire trip absolutely mesmerised.

I also recently visited the beautiful Amalfi Coast of Italy – the food was fantastic the people were so welcoming and the scenery was absolutely stunning. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a picture-perfect getaway!

Looking for a different kind of adventure? I’m a huge advocate for river cruising, as one of my favourite ways to travel: the sail is smooth and relaxing, plus the itineraries are always packed with an array of beautiful destinations to explore, and to tick off! This year I sailed along the Danube, hopping off for a wander around Passau, Linz, Krems and, of course, the gorgeous Vienna. Getting a flavour of somewhere new each day is so exhilarating – I couldn’t recommend it more.
