Day 1: Arrival into Melbourne

Upon arrival into Melbourne make your way to the Clarion Suites Gateway for your three-night stay. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the famous sights on your doorstep such as the Arts Centre, the galleries and museums of Federation Square and the MCG. Alternatively head to the stunning beaches of St Kilda and take in the magnificent sunset from one of the seafront restaurants.

Day 2: Phillip Island Penguin Parade

Phillip Island is home to an astounding array of wildlife including Australia’s largest fur seal colony, With a large number of exhibits, Maru’s animal park aims to give guests the opportunity to have close and personal encounters with its animals. Meet three different species of kangaroos, two species of wallaby, dingoes, Tasmanian devils, emus, parrots, native Australian birds, a pony, donkey, alpaca, sheep, goat, crocodile, blue tongue lizard and turtles, just to name a few. At dusk and the finale of your day, see the famous Penguin Parade as hundreds of penguins waddle to their burrows.

Day 3: Great Ocean Road Adventure

Journey to the popular coastal townships of Torquay and Lorne, pass world famous Bells Beach, and see many gullies and river inlets. Stop for lunch at Apollo Bay (own expense). Travel the length of the Great Ocean Road passing towering limestone cliffs, sweeping white beaches and stunning forest scenery. Witness a fabulous spectacle of massive natural erosion. View the amazing Twelve Apostles - limestone stacks rising dramatically from the Southern Ocean and visit the Information Centre. Walk among the boardwalk enjoying the scenery from various viewing platforms. See Loch Ard Gorge and be swept away by the romantic and tragic story of love and lives lost aboard the Loch Ard. Explore Port Campbell National Park and discover the tragic history of over 50 ships wrecked along the rugged coastline. Continue beyond Port Campbell to the remnants of London Bridge, Razorback and Island Arch before returning to Melbourne.

Day 4: Depart Melbourne
