Fly to India’s capital city, Delhi.

Day 3: Discover Delhi

A city of equal chaos and charm, Delhi grabs you and doesn’t let go. Spend a full day exploring the sights of Old Delhi: drive past the colossal Red Fort, browse the bustling bazaar of Chandni Chowk, visit India’s largest mosque, Jama Masjid, and take a rickshaw to the spice markets. Make a brief stop at India Gate and visit Humayun’s Tomb.

Day 4: Agra

Travel to Agra, visiting Sikandra to see the marble and red sandstone tomb of Emperor Akbar, the Mughal architectural masterpiece built in 1605.

Day 5: Taj Mahal

Rise early to view the impressive Taj Mahal in all its glory at sunrise. Completed in 1653, this remarkable edifice was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After dark return to the fort to enjoy a spectacular sound and light experience.

Day 6: Fatehpur Sikri

Journey to the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, built in 1569 by Emperor Akbar. A spectacular array of Mughal palaces and temples, the complex was abandoned shortly after completion due to a lack of water and is still surrounded in mystery. Continue to the Chand Baori Stepwell, a fabulously geometric, ancient construction, before arriving in Jaipur.

Experience a real insight into these countries. Using local restaurants to enjoy the fabulous cuisine, staying in central hotels to explore local area easily and all entrance fees and visas included, I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful part of Asia.
