In the evening, perhaps enjoy a meal in one of the local restaurants or maybe stroll along the stunning lakefront promenade, before returning to the hotel for a good night's rest. (Overnight in Montreux)

Day 2: The Golden Pass Line - Montreux To Interlaken

Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before making your way to the railway station and joining the Golden Pass train. As the journey begins, the route rises above Lake Geneva, offering amazing views of the Swiss Rivera. The train passes through a mountain tunnel at Jaman and then continues to Chateaux d'Oex and Gstaad. The highest point of the journey is at 1, 274 metres, before arriving in Zweisimmen. From Zweisimmen, the train snakes its way through the Simme Valley and then continues on to Interlaken, between Lakes Thun and Brienz. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Interlaken)

Day 3: Jungfrau Excursion

After breakfast, you will climb to Europe's highest altitude railway station on Jungfrau Mountain, at a colossal 11,332 feet high. The journey takes you to Kleine Scheidegg, before reaching the station at Eigergletscher, which is well known for its mountain restaurant and Huskies.

At Jungfraujoch, take in the breathtaking views of the Black Forest in Germany and the Vosges Mountains in France. After a spectacular day sightseeing, return to the hotel for the second night of your stay. (Overnight in Interlaken)

Day 4: Glacier Express To Chur

Depart Interlaken today and travel to Brig by train, over the incredible Lötschberg Mountain, where you will meet the Glacier Express. Once on board the train, follow the tracks through the majestic Swiss Alps on the journey from Brig to Chur. The train gently glides along the rails through peaceful Alpine meadows, deep valleys and lush forests to Chur. Once you arrive, make your way to the hotel and check in for a two night stay. (Overnight in Chur)

Day 5: Bernina Express

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then take the Bernina Express to Tirano via St Moritz. Be dazzled at the incredible views of imposing glaciers, sheer rock gorges and far-reaching viaducts through the panoramic carriages of the train. Stop in Tirano or Poschiavo for lunch, before heading back along the same route to Chur for the last night of your stay. (Overnight in Chur)
