"As a main agent for Saga we were excited about the launch of the new ship, Spirit of Discovery, in summer 2019. She features cuisine and levels of service you can expect in the world’s finest boutique hotels and her luxurious world class design heralds a new era for Saga Cruises. Every cabin has a balcony and Spirit of Discovery boasts an array of restaurants from the grand dining room, to oriental and seafood eateries too and the best news is that there are no cover charges for them and they are all included in the price."

Full Itinerary

Day 1: UK-Split-Rogoznica (or Primosten)

Fly to Split and transfer to the port to embark your ship. Sail to Rogoznica or Primosten (depending on the port conditions).

Day 2: Rogoznica (or Primosten)-Vodice-Zadar

Explore the typical Dalmatian town of Vodice this morning, where you can stroll along the pristine beaches and enjoy a shade of the pine trees that flank them. Cruise on to Zadar for a guided tour where you’ll see the Roman forum, the medieval basilica and mighty city walls. Later you can enjoy an optional tasting of cherry brandy. Tonight look forward to live entertainment with dinner.

Day 3: Zadar-Sali-Telascica

Set sail for the island of Dugi Otok and spend the morning in Sali, the main town. Cruise on to the protected bay of Telascica, where you’ll enjoy a guided walk through the national park to see the island’s incredible white cliffs, that rise to a lofty 200 metres above the sea, and hear a talk from a local expert. The scenery in Telascica National Park offers diverting contrasts, with one side characterised by gently sloping hills and the other by sharp, sheer cliffs. The ship will moor in the bay until morning.

Day 4: Telascica-Kornati-Sibenik

Today enjoy a scenic cruise through Kornati National Park, where more than 100 islands are divided by narrow channels and serene bays. Keep an eye out for Roman ruins and old fortresses that crown the hilltops, as well as the razor-sharp cliffs that plunge deep into the sea.

Sail to Sibenik and moor overnight.

Day 5: Sibenik-Skradin

See the Foscolo Palace and the cathedral of Sibenik during a guided walk this morning. Explore Krka National Park and see the crystal clear water and gorgeous waterfalls, surrounded by flourishing forest. Keep an eye out for stunning lakes and old hilltop monasteries, as well as the many hundreds of birds that call the park home.

Cruise to Skradin, where you spend the rest of the day exploring the narrow alleys and quiet lanes, all flanked by high hills. This afternoon perhaps join an optional wine tasting in the village of Plastovo.

Day 6: Skradin-Zlarin-Trogir

Sail to the island of Zlarin where you moor at the main village, also called Zlarin.

This is great spot for picking up unique souvenirs in the form of jewellery and other trinkets made from locally harvested coral. Cruise on to Trogir, a historic town has an elegant Venetian flair with its red roofs and Renaissance buildings, and a guided tour will reveal its old cobbled lanes and shaded squares.

Day 7: Trogir-Split

Enjoy time for a swim off the coast of Ciovo Island before cruising back to Split. Discover the city’s rich Roman heritage during an included tour, which will show you the amazing Diocletian’s Palace, a vast UNESCO-listed complex that encompasses much of the city’s old town. Look forward to a farewell dinner tonight as the ship remains moored in Split.

Day 8: Split-UK

Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport and return flight to UK.
