All about Amy

For the past twelve and a half years, I’ve been lucky enough to have lived in Algarve, Portugal. It was during my time there that I not only fell in love with travelling, but also took great pleasure in working in the tourism sector: I worked at Faro Airport, then transferred to Property Management for a wide portfolio of villas, before becoming a Holiday Representative for nearly all of the hotels across the Algarve and Ayamonte, Spain. I’m now starting my new adventure as a Travel Specialist with Miles Morgan Travel, and am certainly bringing an abundance of memories, knowledge, hints and tips to this new role, that I look forward to sharing with customers. I’m delighted to be working at the Abergavenny branch.

Portugal has been a wonderful home: it’s a gem of a destination, with a deep and fascinating history, a rich culture, and jaw-dropping scenery. The local cuisine is delicious, and from Algarve to Porto to Lisbon, there are many amazing bucket-list destinations to tick off. Should Portugal be a destination customers wish to explore – it should be, but perhaps I’m biased! – I have a fountain of knowledge on the country that I’d absolutely love to share.

Living on the continent also gave me the freedom to explore more of Europe. Sometimes my family and I simply nipped across the Spanish border, for a relaxing Sunday in our favourite tapas bar! We’ve also travelled down the breathtaking River Douro on a fantastic river cruise, an experience I could not recommend enough to customers looking to try cruising for the first time. The ports are all stunning, with each offering a unique experience and atmosphere, and it’s a fantastic way to tick off multiple destinations in one trip!

Further afield, my favourite destination would have to be Thailand. I adore witnessing and learning about different cultures, traditions and cuisine, and Thailand was a feast for the senses: it was like an entirely different world! I was lucky enough to take a boat trip and island-hop off the coast of the mainland, on sparkling blue waters. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and one I will never forget!

If you’d like to know more, I’d love to meet you in our Abergavenny branch.
