Day 1:

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Cologne where we join our ship.

Day 2: Rüdesheim

Relax on board our ship as we cruise along the Rhine, which leads us through the Rhine Gorge and past the legendary Lorelei. This afternoon, we arrive at the quaint wine town of Rüdesheim. Here, you can enjoy the town’s many highlights on our optional excursion, including a cable car ride offering panoramic views across the Rhine Valley.

This evening we set sail for Speyer.

Day 3: Speyer to Strabourg

This morning, we arrive in charming Speyer. Easily explored on foot, highlights of the town including a magnificent Romanesque cathedral, the remains of a medieval synagogue, and an abundance of museums.

Why not join our optional excursion to the Speyer Technical Museum, which houses vintage cars, locomotives, and an original Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet?

Lunch is served onboard our ship, and you’ll have some free time before we sail overnight to Strasbourg.

Day 4: Strabourg to Basel

This morning, we arrive in magnificent Strasbourg, which is well known for its World Heritage status. We moor just a short distance from the city centre, and you will have free time to venture into the centre at your own pace.

Alternatively, join our fantastic optional excursion and enjoy a cruise along Strasbourg’s waterways – the ultimate way to take in the attractions from a new perspective.

Lunch is served on board before we set sail to Basel.

Day 5: Basel to Lucerne to Breisach

This morning, we arrive into the old university city of Basel. Here, you can join our full-day excursion by coach to the Swiss resort of Lucerne. This memorable journey follows a route that tunnels through the Jura Mountains, before arriving at Lucerne – the historic and scenic heart of Switzerland. Be sure to visit the beautiful Chapel Bridge with its prominent water tower, one of the most photographed landmarks in Switzerland.

Tonight, we sail to Breisach.

Day 6: Breisach to Alsace to Mannheim

This morning, we arrive into Breisach, where the Black Forest meets the Alsace. Here, you can join our optional excursion into the beautiful Alsace. We’ll call at the quaint village of Riquewihr and enjoy a wine tasting at the famous Dopff & Irion vineyard.

This afternoon, we set sail for Mannheim.

Day 7: Mannheim to Heidelberg to Mainz

Arriving at the river port of Mannheim, you can join our optional excursion to the majestic city of Heidelberg – home of Germany’s oldest university. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, before we return to our ship for lunch as we cruise to Mainz, arriving later this afternoon.

Mainz is situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Main rivers and has been the capital of the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1946. We set sail for Cologne later this evening.

Day 8:

We bid farewell to our captain and crew this morning and continue to our overnight hotel in Belgium.
