To me the ideal trip to Cuba is sipping mojitos in Hemmingway’s Bar in Havana, a city tour by horse and carriage and dancing the night away in one of the many salsa bars. Why not pop down to Varadero for relaxation in one of the many luxurious hotels, enjoy a round or two of golf or a candle lit dinner in a cave! A laid back lifestyle and fascinating history are awaiting you.

Cuba has so much to offer and with a couple of islands off the mainland for a quieter holiday, I would highly recommend this little gem for a more affordable Caribbean holiday. Havana will definitely bring a smile to your face - or could that be the rum? A city full of architectural delights, classic cars, sounds of jazz and aromas of Cuban cigars, it is an unforgettable experience - I loved it!

Cuba where do I start, a stay in Havana has to be done and can easily be booked as a twin centre with one of the beach resorts. Havanas buildings and old American cars will make you feel as you have stepped back in time, stop in at la Bodeguita del Medio for a Mojito or La Floridata's for a Danquiri, these were 2 of Ernest Hemingway's favourite drinking spots. Travel west through the tobacco fields to Vinales for a more rural Cuban experience or south to the colourful town of Trinidad.

Swim with the dolphins, sample some Havana Rum, mix with the locals and get a real taste of the laid back Cuba. Stunning beaches with miles of white sand and crystal clear waters await. My top tip: the best way to get around is to take a ride in one of the old classic cars or hitch a lift in a horse and trap!

Cuba is a wonderfully cultural destination. I have stayed in the Cayos, which is to the north of the island. It has probably one of the best beaches I have ever been to. You can choose to stay in one of the fabulous resorts or do a twin centre combining Havana and a beach stay. If you'd like to find out more about this Caribbean gem please contact me.

Cuba has the most stunning beaches. I've stayed most recently in Guardalavaca and my over-riding memory is the friendliness of the locals - they really cannot do enough for you. There are plenty of local excursions to learn about the history of the island - well worth spending a day or two away from the beach to explore more of the island.
