All about Becky

I’m new to the travel industry, but I’ve spent a lot of my life travelling far and wide across the world, exploring a range of fantastic destinations and cultures. I’m so thrilled and excited to now be joining Miles Morgan Travel and to help customers find their dream holiday. I adore working with people, having spent most of my career in estate agency, and strive to always provide customers with warm, welcoming service that puts a smile on their faces.

When I was growing up, both of my grandparents owned houses in France – one in the Loire and the other on the Côte d’Azur – and my parents also had businesses in Vienne, including a hotel. Travel has always been a passion of mine, perhaps stemming from my family’s taste for it: I have many happy memories in France, wine-tasting in vineyards and canoeing on beautiful rivers. It sparked a lifelong love of holidaying abroad and has inspired many adventures since!

The USA is one of my favourite destinations to visit – I’ve been several times, and each trip has been entirely different. It’s such a diverse country that I could never tire of it. I’ve been sightseeing in Boston, New York and Los Angeles, three wonderfully unique cities, each with such different things to offer. The Hollywood Hills in LA were a particular highlight. I’ve visited Salem over Hallowe’en: nowhere does Hallowe’en like Salem! The spooky festivities last the entire of October, with parades, seances and many haunted attractions. For a gorgeous wintery escape afterwards, I’d recommend a skiing trip in Stowe, Vermont. The possibilities in the USA really are endless, and I’ve had some truly amazing experiences there.

The Far East holds a very special place in my heart too. Twenty years ago, I spent my honeymoon in Langkawi and Kuala Lumper. Malaysia is such a stunning part of the world, with lush green islands surrounded by clear, turquoise waters and the most incredible marine life. Paradise! I’ve also been to Thailand several times, and loved the busy street markets of Bangkok, as well as the soft sand beaches on Thailand’s coastline and its offshore islands. I’d recommend either Malaysia or Thailand for the perfect idyllic escape – photos really don’t do it justice!

Our holidays became much closer to home when my children were young. Italy really shone as a firm favourite, from the wonderful architecture of Florence to the ancient seaside villages of the Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera, and the stunning town of Lerici, famous for its popularity with Lord Byron and the Shelleys.

Tapas-tasting and city-hopping in sunny Spain is always fantastic too. Seville is one of my favourite places, and one we regularly revisit for its warmth and vibrancy; the Alcazar and the cathedral are absolute must-sees, but the architecture across the entire city makes for a stunning place for a wander. We equally love Bilbao and the Basque Country too, with its impressive coastline and delicious pintxos!

Now my children are older, we’re planning new adventures further afield. Skiing will always be a firm family favourite, from whizzing down La Face de Bellevarde in Val D’Isere to admiring the breathtaking Matterhorn in Zermatt, but we’d love to go skiing again in the USA. Our next holiday, though, is going to be a multi-generational escapade to India! We’re very excited to explore its wonderful, colourful culture.

I really do look forward to meeting you in the Malmesbury branch and help to create your fabulous holiday with Miles Morgan Travel.
