Full Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Montréal

Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your journey to the airport and flight to Montréal. On arrival we transfer to our hotel for two nights, the Best Western Ville-Marie (3T+).

Day 2: Montréal

This morning we will enjoy a guided tour of Montréal, a charming and historic city at the confluence of the St Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, discovering its French heritage and taking in highlights such as Notre-Dame Basilica and the Old Town. You are free to explore at your own pace for the rest of the day.

Day 3: Montréal - Québec City

Today we travel north-east to Québec City. Founded in 1608, it’s one of the oldest European cities in North America. On arrival this afternoon, we discover the historic centre - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - on a guided tour.

Day 4: Québec City

Today is free to relax or explore the city. Perhaps browse the boutiques of the old walled city and sampling the fine French cuisine in the local bistros. Alternatively, join us on an optional scenic cruise along the St Lawrence River.

Day 5: Ottawa

We continue our journey to Ottawa, Canada’s capital. After an introductory tour of the city, the rest of your time here is at leisure. Ottawa is a fine city for walking and the stately Parliament, the National Gallery of Canada and the UNESCO-listed Rideau Canal are just some of the attractions waiting to be discovered.

Day 6: Ottawa

Today you’re free to explore Ottawa by yourself. There’s a wide variety of museums, galleries and other cultural attractions as well as many green spaces to enjoy a stroll such as Major’s Hill Park, which offers wonderful views over the Rideau Canal.

Day 7: Ottawa - Toronto

Following the shore of Lake Ontario, we travel to Toronto, Canada’s biggest city. There’s an optional visit to the 553-metre-high CN Tower, which was the tallest tower in the world when it was completed in 1976. There are superb views over the city from the observation deck, which has a partly-glazed floor to look straight-down at Toronto.

For those who prefer to keep their feet on terra firma, there are plenty of other attractions, such as the fascinating Royal Ontario Museum, whose vast collections include everything from ancient Egyptian and Roman antiquities to dinosaur skeletons, meteorites, First Nations Canadian art and historic costumes.

Day 8: Niagara Falls

Toronto is perfectly located for a full-day excursion to experience one of the greatest natural wonders of the world: Niagara Falls. View their incredible power from the promenade or, if you want to get even closer, you can take an optional boat trip to the base of the Falls or a helicopter ride for a panoramic view of this magnificent force of nature.

Day 9: Toronto - Calgary - Banff

Our 'Across Canada' holidays swap east for west today. We fly to Calgary, in Alberta, and transfer to the charming resort town of Banff, in the Rocky Mountains.

Day 10: Banff - Lake Louise - Banff

Our tour takes in the surrounds of Banff and the famous emerald-green Lake Louise, a stunning glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The gardens of the Fairmont Chateau Hotel present an ideal vantage point for viewing the lake and the Victoria Glacier or you may choose to take a gondola to the mountaintop for one of the best views of Banff National Park.

Day 11: Rocky Mountaineer (Banff - Kamloops)

This morning we transfer to Banff railway station to board the legendary Rocky Mountaineer, surely the most comfortable and romantic way to enjoy the breathtaking majesty of the Canadian Rockies. The exhilarating two-day route between Banff and Vancouver, via Kamloops, takes us through lush valleys, along the shores of sparkling lakes and over dramatic mountain passes. The unforgettable highlights of the section between Banff and Kamloops include the Continental Divide, Kicking Horse Canyon and Rogers Pass. We stay in Kamloops this evening (arranged by Rocky Mountaineer).

Day 12: Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops - Vancouver)

We continue on our rail journey through British Columbia, winding through river canyons and forests surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountain ranges and the Fraser River Valley, all the way to Vancouver.

Day 13: Vancouver

Our guided tour of Vancouver takes in some of the main sights and landmarks of this attractive maritime city, including Stanley Park, Chinatown and the historic Gastown district. The rest of the day is free.

Day 14: Vancouver

Enjoy a full day of exploring Vancouver at leisure; or take our optional trip to Vancouver Island to visit Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, and the spectacularly colourful Butchart Gardens.

Day 15: Vancouver - In flight

Transfer to Vancouver Airport for an overnight flight back to the UK.
