Ellie Explores Oceania Vista: A Taste of Luxury

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Intro

I was given the opportunity to explore the stunning Oceania Vista whilst she was docked in Portland. I was lucky enough to be blessed with the perfect weather which really enhanced the full experience!

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Pool Deck

The Oceania Vista was built in 2023 and stands at 241 metres in length. She holds a guest capacity of 1200 and staff size of 800, meaning the guest-to-staff ratio sits at 1.5 to 1 to ensure guests receive an intimate, personal service. When you first step onboard, you are immediately greeted by the gorgeous crystal grand staircase that sits elegantly in the centre of the atrium. This is a beautiful introduction to the modern aesthetics and spaciousness that flows seamlessly throughout the ship.

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Deck 14

We headed up to the Horizons Lounge, which is situated forward on Deck 14. With comfortable seating and floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding the lounge, this was a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beverage whilst taking in the scenery or enjoying live music. We were guided through the Aquamar Spa and Vitality Centre which oozed a relaxing, serene vibe. Continuing through the Spa, this leads you outside onto the Aquamar Spa Terrace, where 4 whirlpools and luxurious, thick cushioned sunbeds await.

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Restaurant

We walked through all the speciality restaurants including the Polo Grill and Toscana, we were shown the private dining areas which can be booked at a cost of $300 and can seat up to 10 guests – perfect if you have a special occasion. There is also a state-of-the-art Culinary Centre onboard where you can learn to prepare a variety of dishes with the chefs!

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Food

The Grand Dining room was magnificent; the decor was classy and elevated. We were presented with a five course tasting meal, showcasing dishes from each of the ship's restaurants. The food was well presented and had great flavour, I particularly enjoyed the Lump Crab, the Porcini Mushroom Riotto and the Triple Chocolate Brownie!

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Balcony Cabin

We had a chance to view two different cabin grades onboard; One of the stunning Penthouse Suite's on Deck 11 and a Veranda Stateroom on Deck 8. There was an excellent amount of storage space in both cabins. I enjoyed the little touches they provide in the cabins such as the free reusable water bottles for each guest, it was great to see they care about the environment.

The Penthouse Suite's balcony was a good size, with two sun beds AND a table with chairs – plenty of space to relax in privacy. Both cabins had lovely sized walk-in showers, and the Penthouse even had a his-and-hers sink! What I loved about the Oceania Vista was the incredible artwork and the use of naturally lighting throughout the ship.

Ellie Oceania Ship Visit Balcony Outro

The food we tasted was excellent, and it made me excited to try the other dishes they have to offer. You can definitely feel the luxurious, intimate vibe throughout the ship, and the level of service the crew provide is exceptional — nothing was too much trouble! I thoroughly enjoyed my day onboard the Oceania Vista, and I would love to experience a sailing with them in the future.
